Examines Nigeria’s physical features as our most enduring uniting force, the greatest and oldest incentive to mobility and contact among the various groups that today make up Nigeria. The diversity of ecologies is such that no area produces all that the people need, and this encourages contact and exchange.
At the same time, the rivers, lagoons and creeks, the open grasslands and network of trade routes promotes intergroups relationships. The programme shows the impact of these inter-relationships and that no cultural group in Nigeria has been self sufficient or isolated
